• Which techniques are available at Make Eindhoven?
  We provide facilities for working with CAD/CAM, kiln-formed glass, graphic techniques and metal casting. 

• I would like to work with several techniques. Is that possible?
  Yes. We encourage crossovers between techniques and disciplines. 

• I have a deadline in two weeks. Can I come in?
  Our schedule often fills up quickly, so please allow approximately three months for the application process. Applications can be submitted during one of our application periods. 

The graphic workshop offers more flexibility. If you are already familiar with the technique and with our workshop, you can contact us through the fast lane.
 

• How do I apply to work at Make Eindhoven?
  We have four application periods each year. If you would like to work at Make Eindhoven, you can submit a project proposal during one of these periods. 

• I have worked at Make Eindhoven before and do not need guidance. Can I come and work?
  For returning makers who are already familiar with Make Eindhoven and the technique they would like to work in, we offer the fast lane. If this applies to you, please contact one of our advisers.
   

• I have no experience with CAD/CAM, glass, graphic techniques and/or metal casting. Can I still work at Make Eindhoven?
  Yes. Previous experience with a technique is not required. Make Eindhoven is a makerspace for research and experimentation. You bring the idea and carry out each step of the process yourself; we provide the facilities, knowledge and advice. 

• Do I need to bring my own materials, or can I buy them at Make Eindhoven?
  You are welcome to bring your own materials. Please always consult an adviser in advance to check whether the material is suitable for use in our workshops. 

Some materials can be purchased at Make Eindhoven, but not everything is available on site. Certain materials will need to be sourced independently. In these cases, too, please consult one of our advisers beforehand. 

• How much does it cost to work at Make Eindhoven?
  We charge for the use of facilities, guidance from advisers and materials. Please consult the price list for current rates. 

• What happens if my project does not work out as planned?
  Make Eindhoven is a place for research and experimentation. Experimentation involves discovering new possibilities. This also means that outcomes may differ from what was originally planned. Material behaviour cannot always be fully controlled.  

• What are Make Eindhoven’s opening hours?
  Visits are by appointment from Monday to Friday, between 9:00 and 17:00. 

• In which language do the advisers provide guidance?
  Most advisers speak Dutch, and all advisers speak English.

• What sizes can I print, etch and produce?
  Technical specifications for our screen-printing tables, etching and lithography presses, printers and exposure unit can be found on the graphic techniques page.
   

• Which materials are available in the workshop?
  We have various types of paper and ink available. If you have specific questions, please contact one of our graphic advisers. You are also welcome to bring your own materials. 

• Which tools are available in the workshop?
  We provide the tools required for screen printing, etching, lithography, riso and Toyobo. 

• How much does it cost to work with graphic techniques at Make Eindhoven? 

You pay for use of the workshop and, where applicable, for guidance. Please consult the price list for current rates. Materials are charged separately according to use. 

• Which metals can be cast at Make Eindhoven?
  We cast aluminium, bronze and brass.
   

• I have never made a mould before. Can you help me with this?
  Yes. One of our metal advisers will help you get started and guide you through the process.
   

• My project is quite large and I need help making the mould. Do you have workshop assistants?
  We do not employ assistants for this purpose. Our advisers are available to provide technical advice and guidance. If you require additional practical assistance, you are welcome to bring someone to help you. Please discuss this with an adviser in advance.
   

• How much does metal casting at Make Eindhoven cost?
  You pay per half-day for use of the workshop, as well as for guidance, facilities and materials used. Please consult the price list for current rates. 

The final cost depends on factors including the size of the work, the material, the complexity of the project and the amount of finishing required. During the intake meeting, we can provide an indication of the expected costs. The final amount may differ from this estimate.
